                                  Mission Accomplished

The Call to Duty Fund was dedicated to raising funds to assist with air fare to bring Idaho's Civilian Service Members home on leave after they completed their training and before they were deployed.

Through the leadership of Call to Duty Chairman, Jack Friesz, this fundraising campaign has been a success.

The Call to Duty Fund raised over $297,000 since July 25, 2004.  Approximately 700 members of the National Guard received partial travel rebates.  Our Idaho Reserve units were able to get some assistance through these donations.

$35,000 provided phone cards for those precious moments to allow a soldier to call home.

$15,000 was donated to The Idaho Foodbank for holiday turkeys in 2004 for the Idaho Civilian Service Members' families.

Another $10,000 was donated to The Idaho Foodbank for other food support for families while their loved one was in combat.

The Call to Duty Fund is no longer soliciting donations.   As we closed down donation solicitations, we retired the name Call to Duty Fund.  It is the sole property of The Idaho Foodbank.

Thank you for all your support across the state.  We have been blessed by each of you.

The Call to Duty Fund has lost two of the original three founders.

Jack Friesz and Carrol Dowd have been recruited from earth to go to a higher commission.  Betty Friesz is keeping them in line.

WELCOME HOME, 116TH!

YOU HAVE BEEN IN OUR PRAYERS.
WE ARE GLAD TO SEE YOU BACK!

Welcome home, soldier, thou good and faithful servants of the country.
